Quick Start Guide
Get up and running with Yooz Notes in 2 minutes.
1. Open Yooz Notes
Visit yooz.live/notes in your web browser.
Works on:
- Desktop: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge
- Mobile: iOS Safari, Chrome Android
- Offline: Install as PWA (see step 4)
2. Create Your First Note
Click the "+" button or press Ctrl/Cmd + N to create a new note.
Try typing:
# My First Note
This is **bold** and this is *italic*.
## Task List
- [ ] Learn Yooz Notes
- [ ] Create a diagram
- [ ] Enable encryption
## My First Diagram

## 3. Organize with Tags
Add tags to categorize your notes:
- Type `#work` or `#personal` anywhere in your note
- Tags appear in the left sidebar
- Click a tag to filter notes
**Example:**

# Project Planning #work #urgent
Meeting notes for Q4 planning...
4. Install as an App (Optional)
Desktop
In your browser:
- Chrome/Edge: Click install icon in address bar
- Safari: File → Add to Dock
- Firefox: Three dots → Install
Mobile
iOS:
- Open in Safari
- Tap Share button
- Select "Add to Home Screen"
Android:
- Open in Chrome
- Tap three dots menu
- Select "Install app" or "Add to Home Screen"
5. Enable Encryption (Recommended)
Protect your notes with end-to-end encryption:
- Click ⚙️ Settings (top-right)
- Enable "Encrypt Notes"
- Set a strong master password
- Configure auto-lock timer (1-10 min)
Important:
- Password cannot be recovered if lost
- Generate a recovery key (Settings → Generate Recovery Key)
- Store recovery key safely
6. Create a Mermaid Diagram
Yooz Notes supports beautiful diagrams:
- Type

7. Keyboard Shortcuts
Speed up your workflow:
