Cloud Sync
Sync your encrypted notes across devices with privacy-first cloud storage. Coming in Q1 2026.
Cloud sync is currently in development. This page describes the planned features.
Overview
Yooz Notes sync is designed with privacy as the foundation. Your notes are encrypted before leaving your device, so cloud providers only see encrypted data.
Planned Features
End-to-End Encrypted Sync
- Notes encrypted locally before upload
- Cloud providers cannot read your data
- Same encryption key across devices
- Zero-knowledge architecture
Multi-Provider Support
Choose your preferred cloud storage:
| Provider | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Google Drive | Planned Q1 2026 | Uses your Google account |
| Dropbox | Planned Q1 2026 | Uses your Dropbox account |
| iCloud | Considering | For Apple ecosystem users |
Conflict Resolution
When the same note is edited on multiple devices:
- Automatic merge for non-conflicting changes

Frequently Asked Questions
Will sync be free?
Basic sync with limited storage will be free. Premium sync with more storage and features will be part of a subscription tier.
Can I use sync without encryption?
No. For your privacy, all synced notes are automatically encrypted. This is not optional.
What happens if I lose my password?
Your synced notes are encrypted with your password. Without it (or recovery key), synced data cannot be recovered. This is the trade-off for true privacy.
Will you support other cloud providers?
We're starting with Google Drive and Dropbox. Additional providers may be added based on user demand.
