Yooz Labs Inc. ("Yooz", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our applications, including Yooz Whisper.

Our Core Principle​

Your data stays on your device. We build privacy-first applications that process everything locally. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal data on our servers.

Yooz Whisper​

Yooz Whisper is a voice-to-text application that runs entirely on your Mac.

What We Do NOT Collect​

  • Audio recordings: Your voice is processed on-device and never uploaded
  • Transcriptions: Your text output stays on your device
  • Personal information: No accounts, no sign-ups, no personal data collection
  • Usage analytics: We do not track how you use the app
  • Location data: We do not access your location
  • Contacts or files: We do not access your contacts, files, or other apps

What the App Accesses​

  • Microphone: Required for voice transcription. Audio is processed locally and immediately discarded after transcription.
  • Accessibility (optional): Used only to insert transcribed text into other applications. No data is read or collected from other apps.

Data Storage​

All app preferences and settings are stored locally on your device using standard macOS mechanisms. We have no access to this data.

Third-Party Services​

Yooz Whisper does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app functions completely offline.

Apple Intelligence​

When LLM text cleanup is enabled, the app uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models (Apple Intelligence). This processing occurs entirely on your device through Apple's frameworks. We do not have access to this processing or its results.

Children's Privacy​

Our applications are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy​

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
